Onduparaka FC may not be happy with the result from their first match of the season after falling to substitute Idris Lubega second half free kick to lose 1-0 away to Proline FC on Wednesday at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

They fans may however be happy with the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda premier league match day one outcome. The West Nile side was awarded three points and three from their fixture against Police that was not played last week.

Onduparaka was due to host the Cops who never turned up as they were in Nairobi, Kenya for the East African Police Chiefs Organisation Corporation (EAPCO) games and thus losing the game by forfeiture.

According to FUFA Competitions disciplinary panel, it was reported in the referee’s match report of August 30, 2019 that Police FC failed to turn up for the game against Onduparaka at Luzira Prisons grounds.

Police FC did not respond to the charges or write an official explanation in the mandatory 48 hours contrary to the competition rules.

According to the competition rules, the defaulting club shall lose the match by forfeiture and shall be docked three points and three goals from the already accumulated in event the defaulting club is the away club.

“Police FC lose the match against Onduparaka FC by forfeiture and be docked three points and three goals from those to be accumulated in accordance with art.24 par.10 of the rules,” noted a statement by the panel signed by its chairman Deo Mutabazi.

In the same way Onduparaka will host the rest of the season games at their Green light stadium, Arua after receiving clearance from the Fufa licensing committee.

The Caterpillars were due to host from Luzira Prisons before their venue getting clearance.

The fans will however wait for their home game this season after rescheduling of their  match day fixture home fixture against Vipers SC.

The Venoms have more than three players at the national team that is taking on Kenya this Sunday in an International friendly.

Onduparaka will thus, if not changes, host Wakiso Giants first on match day six due October 2, 2019.
