Pilsner Super 8 tournament

Remaining (classification) fixtures

Monday, August 19 –Wakiso Giants vs URA -Wakiso

Tuesday, August 20 –Onduparaka vs Mbarara City -Wakiso

Final

Sunday, August 25 Vipers SC vs KCCA -Wankulukuku

Onduparaka will host Mbarara City at the Wakisha resource center in their classification match this Tuesday a day after Wakiso Giants host URA FC at the same venue.

The Wakisha resource center is home of newly promoted Wakiso Giants and it will be the first time Mbarara plays from the venue.

It will also be the first time Livingstone Mbabazi faces his former side since dumping the Ankole Lions to rejoin Onduparaka in June after leading the Western side to a remarkable 5th place finish last season.

Mbarara City lost 3-5 in Penalties to Vipers after 1-1 normal time draw at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende while Onduparaka lost 1-3 to defending Champions KCCA in the other semi final at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo last Friday.

Mbarara City’s four of its last six games in Knock out competitions have ended in Penalty Shoot outs and they have had at least a player sent off every time they play against Onduparaka away from Kakyeka.

Sadick Sempigi, the Onduparaka head coach says that they are coming for victory in the fixture while Brian Ssenyondo, the Mbarara City head coach says that away from winning, he looks forward to another chance to test his side’s technical prowess ahead of new season.

The 2019 Pilsner super 8 preseason tournament final has been scheduled for this Sunday at Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku. The champions will take home Shs20m while the runners up have Shs12m. The third and fourth place sides take Shs10m and Shs8m respectively while the 6th, 7th and 8th will take Shs6m, Shs5m and Shs4m respectively.
