Proline FC will once again try their luck for the last time to this season to achieve automatic qualification to the premier league next season as the FUFA Big league curtains go down this Thursday afternoon.

Proline missed promotion in their second last game after 1-1 at home to Kansai Plascon.

But after sealing a place at the final of this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup final due May 25 in Masaka, they face Kabale Sharp at Kbale Municipal grounds with high spirits; knowing that only victory guarantees their promotion unless Kansai fails to win at home against Dove FC.

“Our season target remains earning promotion despite making it to the finals of Stanbic Uganda Cup for the maiden time. There is not complacency,” noted head coach Shafik Bisaso, whose side is just a point above Kansai with a game to go.

Meanwhile, the climax of the promotional league has been highlighted by dramatic Rwenzori group events as Kitara and Kiboga Young lodged in a petition to FUFA disciplinary committee against Dove FC over an ineligible player.

It is alleged that Delphine Losambo featured for the side against both petitioning sides this season without a valid International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and National identification Card.

Dove FC already filed in their defense and the committee is to decide on the matter today. Kitara FC could sneak into playoffs should the ruling due this Thursday falls their way.

Dove FC are currently 3rd with 37 points, 3 above 4th placed Kiboga Young (34 points), who play relegated Kira United. Kitara are 5th with 32 points and could move to 4th position.

Dove FC only need a point off Kansai to book play-off spot as per the current standings. In Elgon group, Wakiso Giants, who already got promoted visit Dove All Stars in Arua that seeks a 5-goal victory to leapfrog UPDF in 3rd for a playoff finish while Kyetume who are certain of play offs visit relegated Entebbe FC.
