Regional showdowns loom as FUFA announces FUFA Drum 2025 fixtures

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially released the fixtures for the FUFA Drum 2025 quarter-finals, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown among regional teams. The announcement was made by FUFA’s Competitions Department on 28th February 2026.

The quarter-finals will be played over two legs, with the first leg scheduled for 21st and 22nd March 2026, and the return leg taking place a week later on 28th and 29th March 2026. All matches will kick off at 4:00 PM local time.

The opening matches will see host regions looking to gain a crucial advantage in front of home supporters:

Bunyoro vs West Nile – Saturday, 21st March 2026 at Royal Park Butema, Hoima
Acholi vs Busoga – Saturday, 21st March 2026 at Booma Stadium, Kitgum
Teso vs Lango – Sunday, 22nd March 2026 at Soroti Grounds, Soroti
Buganda vs Tooro – Sunday, 22nd March 2026 at Lugazi Stadium

Fans are expected to turn out in large numbers as regional pride and progression to the semi-finals are at stake.

The return leg will reverse the venues, ensuring each team enjoys the support of its home crowd:

West Nile vs Bunyoro – Saturday, 28th March 2026 at Green Light Stadium, Arua
Busoga vs Acholi – Saturday, 28th March 2026 at Saza Grounds, Iganga
Lango vs Teso – Sunday, 29th March 2026 (venue to be confirmed)
Tooro vs Buganda – Sunday, 29th March 2026 at St Paul Seminary, Fort Portal

The FUFA Drum tournament continues to celebrate Uganda’s cultural heritage while fostering regional unity. With its tagline, “Celebrating Our Ancestry”, the competition blends football with community identity, giving fans across the country an opportunity to showcase their regional pride.
