The Uganda Rugby Union has summoned a total of 15 players for the upcoming 2021 Solidarity Rugby Sevens Camp.

The camp will be hosted in South Africa and it is part of the qualification for the upcoming summer Olympics in Japan.

Pius Ogena who was with the Cranes team that took part in the Rugby Sevens tournament in Dubai, last month, is not part of the team.

Ogena who plays for Betway KOBS is understood to have injured himself in the league win over Impis last weekend and it is the reason he is not part of the squad.

The Rugby Cranes will depart for South Africa on May 06 and are expected to return on the 16th of the same month.

The camp will be held Stellenbosch and will feature Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda and South Africa.

The Rugby Cranes team that was summoned

Michael Wokorach, Philip Wokorach, Adrian Kasito, Timothy Kisiga, Ian Munyani, Aaron Ofoywroth, Desire Ayera, James Odongo, Solomon Okia, Nobert Okeny, Byron Oketayot, Levis Ochen, Isaac Massanganzira, Kelvin Balagadde and Joseph Aredo
