The Uganda national beach soccer team, the Sand Cranes, officially entered residential training camp on Sunday, May 25, 2025, as they prepare for the upcoming CECAFA Beach Soccer Championship slated for June 6–11 in Mombasa, Kenya.
The 22-man squad reported to FUFA House in Mengo at 10:00 AM before heading to the Bamboo Gardens Beach Soccer Arena in Kasanje for intensive training sessions aimed at fine-tuning their skills ahead of the regional tournament.
Head coach Arch Rica Byaruhanga will lead the technical team, working alongside assistants Akabwai Geofrey and Baker Lukooya, with support from team doctor Kulika Ivan and team manager Ssebagala Tonny.
The selected squad features a strong blend of experience and emerging talent from beach soccer clubs, universities, and institutions across Uganda.
