Vianey Ssekajugo scored the only goal in the 18th minute as Buganda 1-0 beat hosting Lango province on Sunday the crowded UTC grounds, Lira in the FUFA Drum tournament.

The forward, who is on the verge of joining Mbarara City as a free agent from Onduparaka, pounced on a loose ball from Lango goal keeper to power in the roof top to silence over 10,000 home fans that braved the heat to cheer their cherished province team.

Ssekajugo also scored the only goal as Buganda beat Lango 1-0 in the first round at the Mukono Bishops SS grounds. He was named the Man of the match on Sunday after match-winning performance.

The game, according to the hosts, fetched Shs82,830,000 in gate collections with VAT 18% (Shs14,909,400) inclusive. FUFA takes 10% from the gross (Shs8,283,000), hosts Acholi Province Shs23,030320, Northern Fufa region Shs6,507,520 while Lira district football association (DFA) takes Shs3,253,760.

Printing of tickets cost3,600,000 while security cost 5,086,000 whilst team match day expense going for Shs18,160,000.

The fixture set a record attendance and the biggest gatecollections in the tournament ever after surpassing the Shs61m collected in the Acholi-West Nile clash at Pece stadium, Gulu the previous weekend.
