The 2019 Singleton Match Play Challenge continues this Saturday at the par-72 Entebbe Golf Club with the semi-finals.
The semi-finals of the main draw only have male teams following the exit of all female pairs at the quarter-finals.

The female pair of Doreen Mwesigye/Wendy Angudeyo was the first team to get eliminated by the male duo of Tim Mwanda/Suubi Kiwanuka; by two holes; 2&1. Samuel Kato/Charles Odere beat the female pair of Martha Babirye/Maureen Okura1-up.
It also implies that a new champion will be crowned when the third edition climaxes next month following the exit of holders; Peace Kabasweeka/Sheila Kesiime.
In the professionals (pros) category, newbie pro golfer Ronald Rugumayo who made his debut at the Uganda Open in Entebbe less than a year ago will face off with Abraham Ainemana. Red-hot Herman ‘Deco’ Mutebi will face off with veteran Herman Mutawe in the battle for cash.
At the climax, the winning pair will win a fully-paid trip to watch the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic series that feature some of golf’s best players including Tiger Woods, who recently won the Masters.
The tournament’s other sponsors include CBA, RwandAir, DStv, Serena Hotels, Pinnacle Security, Afrisafe Risk Partners, Ekspreso, HTC and Street Club.
