Uganda Premier League (UPL) side KCCA FC on Friday confirmed that forward Erisa Ssekisambu has returned to the club for a second stint ahead of the second round of the 2021/22 UPL season.

“The forward who previously featured for KCCA FC in the 2019/20 season has signed for 6 months till the end of the 2021/22 season,” the club noted via their website.

Ssekisambu had moved to Tarxien Rainbows (Malta) in January 2021 where he played football for a period of one year.

The player joins KCCA FC as a free agent and will have to compete with forwards like Davis Kasirye, Sadat Anaku, Charles Lwanga and Brian Aheebwa.

The former Express, URA and Vipers forward comes in at a time when KCCA FC has already lost two forwards in Sam Ssenyonjo who was sent on loan to Wakiso Giants FC and Brian Kayanja who underwent knee surgery and is out for the rest of the 2021/22 season.

Ssekisambu has also previously played for Gor Mahia, SC Villa, Jogoo Young.

The 5.8ft forward has also previously played for Uganda U20, U23 and Senior National Men’s Teams.
