Quarterfinal
SC Villa 1-2 BUL FC (After Extra time)

BUL FC are through to the semifinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after dumping out SC Villa.

In the Quarterfinal game played on Monday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, BUL FC had to come from a goal down to win 2-1, including the winner coming deep into the second half of extra time.

Saddam Masereka got SC Villa ahead but Karim Ndugwa got the equalizer before a late goal from Ibrahim Nsimbe after normal time decided the contest.

Masereka fired SC Villa into the lead, scoring with a ferocious strike at the near post in the 20th minute.

Despite creating several attempts especially in the first half, the Jogoos failed to double their advantage.

BUL FC kept growing in confidence and eventually found the equalizer through Karim Ndugwa whose diving header beat goalkeeper Martin Ssekooto.

The home side had the opportunity to lead again before the break when they won a penalty in the 44th minute but captain of the day Saddam Juma fired it wide.

BUL were reduced to ten men midway through the second half when midfielder George Kasonko was sent off for a second bookable offence on Masereka.

Despite having numerical advantage, SC Villa failed to break past resilient BUL who forced the game to extra time and eventually getting the winning goal with four minutes to the end of extra time.

BUL join holders Vipers SC and Booma FC who booked their slots over the weekend overcoming Wakiso Giants and Maroons FC respectively.

The final quarterfinal fixture will come on Wednesday at Kakyeka Stadium with Mbarara City hosting Mbale Heroes FC.
