The AFRIYEA Golf Academy in Uganda is set to tee-off its annual junior golf camp on Monday, April 29th, 2024. Nestled in the charming Fort Portal tourism hub, this year’s camp will take place at the scenic Toro Golf Club.
Open to young golf enthusiasts aged 4 to 18, the camp welcomes juniors of all skill levels. The month-long Junior Camp Program aims to equip participants with the skills, rules, and etiquette necessary for improved performance on the course. From mastering putting and chipping to refining full swing techniques and club selection, juniors will receive hands-on coaching and on-course guidance to enhance their golfing abilities.

The camp sessions will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, providing a vibrant learning atmosphere for budding golfers at the Toro Club in Fort Portal.
Isaiah Mwesige, CEO of AFRIYEA Golf Academy, emphasizes the camp’s mission to broaden access to the sport, particularly targeting holidaying children in rural areas. By providing a platform for discovering and nurturing hidden talents, the academy aims to democratize access to golf, fostering inclusivity and diversity within the sport.
“Golf is a game for all, and we are dedicated to making it accessible to children from diverse backgrounds,” states Mwesige, underscoring the academy’s commitment to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and diversity within the realm of golf.

This marks the fourth edition of the junior golf camp, each year presenting unique and enriching experiences for participants.
