The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has provisionally suspended three players from Buhimba United Saints FC following allegations of match manipulation.
The Investigatory Chamber of FUFA’s Ethics and Disciplinary Committee announced a 90-day suspension on Ayebale Moses, Dudu Ramathan, and Nkata Fred, pending the outcome of a formal investigation.
The sanctions stem from the November 8, 2025, match between Buhimba United Saints and Lugazi FC, which preliminary findings suggest may have been manipulated for betting purposes.
According to FUFA, the investigation was launched after information surfaced regarding potential interference in the match outcome. Evidence collected so far indicates the involvement of the three provisionally suspended players, prompting formal proceedings under Article 43 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code, which addresses manipulation of football matches or competitions.
FUFA noted that the conduct of the individuals could constitute a violation of criminal provisions under the National Sports Act, and the matter will be referred to the Uganda Police for further action.
