-Kyetume FC 1-0 URA FC
-Police FC 1-1 SC Villa
-UPDF FC * – * KCCA FC

URA FC’s hopes of winning a first league suffered a major blow as they lost to Kyetume FC 1-0 on Wednesday.

Latif Kiyimba scored the all important goal that boost Kyetume’s survival hopes with the season coming to its end.

Kiyimba who had not scored in the league prior to Wednesday, netted the would-be winning goal from a free-kick with just 11 minutes to play.

The result sees URA drop to second on the log with 54 points, one behind leaders Express FC with just five games to play.

For Kyetume, they stay in 14th with 23 points, three behind Busoga United who occupy 13th spot.

URA will hope to make amends in their next fixture when they host UPDF FC at Ndejje on Sunday.

At Lugogo, Police FC and SC Villa drew 1-1 in a highly contested fixture.

After a scoreless first half, Villa took the lead on 57 minutes through Nicholas Kabonge who slotted past Tom Ikara after collecting from Saddam Masereka.

Police who struggled for much of the early exchanges levelled matters as substitute Herman Wasswa pounced on a lose ball to rifle in off the under-side of the bar on the hour mark.

Police ended the game with 10 men after Ikara was sent off in the last minute of the contest for handling in the area.

The draw sees Police stay in 6th with 39 points while Villa are in 9th with 33 points.

In Bombo, the contest between UPDF FC and KCCA FC was abandoned in the 10th minute due to heavy downpour.

The game which was still goalless will resume on Thursday, May 20 at 10:30am.
