Tooro United FC woes have continued with the side losing anther game by forfeiture for fielding an ineligible player against Kyetume FC on January 15 in the StarTimes Uganda premier league fixture played at the Mighty Arena, Jinja.

BBS TV marketing manager Alice Namatovu reportedly bought Tooro United

James Kasibante was fielded by Tooro United with no license for the match; making him ineligible to play against Kyetume. Tooro United FC submitted their response to the disciplinary proceedings but the FUFA disciplinary panel based on Article 26(3) of the FUFA Competitions rules which establishes that: “A player(s) whose license cannot be presented by club officials at the time of inspection, shall be ineligible to play in the respective FUFA Competition Match to take the decision against Tooro United. The committee found out that: Kasibante James was registered and issued with a license by FUFA on 17th January 2020 at 4:00pm and thus was ineligible to play the match against Kyetume on 15th. “Tooro United FC loses the match against Kyetume FC by forfeiture in accordance with Art. 19 (19) of the FUFA Competitions Rules which establishes that: “A Club that fields an ineligible player shall lose the match by forfeiture to the opposing team. The table standings be updated accordingly,” partly read the committee’s ruling signed by Deo Mutabazi, the chairperson.

Tooro also lost their second round opening game by forfeiture after failing field a minimum of seven licensed players at home against Onduparaka.
