Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC on Sunday night unveiled two new players ahead of the 2020/2021 season. The players that were unveiled during the club’s weekly show dubbed KCCA FC TV are; Uganda U17 (Cubs) midfielder Andrew Kawooya and defender (left back) Moses Kalanzi.

The pair becomes the latest addition to Mike Mutebi’s side in this transfer window after earlier arrivals of Juma Balinya, Dominic Ayella, Mugume Ashraf, Lwanga Charles, Mazengo Stefano Loro, Iguma Dennis, Bright Anukani (loan), Brian Aheebwa and Kigozi Samson.

The ‘new boys’ bring in a vast ray of talent to the team despite their varying stints in the game.
Kawooya, 17 a Senior Five student at St Mary’s SS Kitende, albeit his teenage age, has already had stints at national level. He represented Uganda at the 2018 CECAFA Under-17 and 2019 AFCON Under-17 in Tanzania.

Kawooya played for Junior teams of Lweza, Proline, and Vipers JT.
However, for Kalanzi, he has been dubbed as Mustafa Kizza replacement. Kizza left the Lugogo based side over a month ago having sealed a deal to join USA MLS (Major League Soccer) side Montreal Impact.

Kalanzi joins KCCA from Denmark outfit Jammerbugt. He also featured for Danish sides Aalborg and Hjorring.
While in Uganda, Kalanzi featured for Bulenga Academy, Young Eagles Academy, Express Wembley, Super Cubs, Kampala Kids League and Uganda Youth Soccer Academy.

KCCA FC is currently rejuvenating it’s team and as a result a couple of players have been let go, that is; Erisa Ssekisambu, Jackson Nunda, Saddam Juma, Tom Ikara, Eric Ssenjobe , Jamil Malyamungu, Mike Mutyaba and Mustafa Kizza.
