Uganda DanceSport Federation (UDSF) has announced dates for the 2nd Annual Capacity Building Camp. The event will take place from January 10th-14th, 2024 at Nyakasura School in Fort Portal Tourism City, Tooro Kingdom, Uganda.
The camp aims to promote talent development, environmental protection, and sustainability objectives. The theme for camp is “Dance Green, Protect Environment”, which highlights our commitment to raising awareness about the importance of environmental protection.
The camp is open to all public dance practitioners, especially school holiday makers and candidate students on school vacation. There will be Afro, Breaking, Latin & Standard, and Hip Pop Crew Battles, as well as dance workshops that teach essential skills such as judging, coaching, MCing, DJing, and sports journalism to children and youth.
At the camp, UDSF will address critical issues such as deforestation caused by charcoal burners and air pollution caused by cars. The federation will work to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection.
Over 420 students and 120 physical education teachers are expected to attend with UDSF hoping that the event will be impactful.
The camp will culminate in a high-energy DanceSport event that is sure to engage the public audience of Fort Portal City.
