Uganda U20 national football team, Uganda Hippos will receive USD200,000 (UGX740M) from FUFA if they win the AFCON U20 championship that is currently underway in Mauritania.
This development was confirmed on Wednesday during a Zoom meeting between FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo and the U20 contingent.
In line with the same development, the team has so far won USD80,000 for reaching the quarter finals stage on their first appearance at the tournament.
Last time out, Hippos came from a goal down to beat hosts Mauritania 1-2 in the final group game played at Stade Olympique to progress to the quarter finals.
Uganda Hippos will play their quarter final match today, Thursday, 25th February against Burkina Faso at 10 PM (EAT).
