Uganda Tennis Association (UTA) has named teams (both boys and girls) for the East African Junior Teams’ Competition for 12 years & Under and the East African Junior Teams’ Competition for 14 & 16 & Under.
Both events will take place at the Ecology Club at IPRC Kigali with the 12 and Under event scheduled for 27th April to 1st May 2022 whilst the 14 & 16 & Under showpiece will run from 4 – 8 May 2022.
For the 12 & Under event, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Sudan, Sychelles and Burundi are the nations that have confirmed participation.
Uganda will join Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan, Sychelles and Burundi for the 14 & 16 & Under event.
The 12 & Under event is a qualifier for the African Junior Finals of Teams’ Competition whilst the 14 & 16 & Under showpiece is a qualifier for the African Junior Teams’ Championships (AJTC).
Ugandan charges are currently conducting training sessions at the Lugogo Tennis Complex.
