FUFA has confirmed that Ugandan match officials have been included on the FIFA Refereeing International Lists for 2026, a move that further underlines the country’s steady progress in football officiating.

The confirmation means Uganda will once again be represented across various refereeing categories at both FIFA and CAF competitions during the 2026 international season. It also reflects the sustained investment by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) in referee training, assessment and international exposure.

According to FUFA, the latest recognition is a result of deliberate efforts by the FUFA Referees Committee, which has prioritised training, fitness, integrity and performance management. Ugandan referees have continued to benefit from regular local and international courses aimed at aligning them with global refereeing standards.

Referees named on the FIFA international list (2026):

Kasalirwe Lucky Razake, Nabadda Shamirah, Okello Dick, Murungi Diana, Oloya William, Nantongo Josephine, Duula Joshua and Olemu George
.
Assistant referees:

Katenya Ronald, Ongiera Immaculate, Okudra Emmanuel, Nassolo Elizabeth, Mulindwa Hakim, Mutonyi Jane, Musisi Brianson, Nantabo Lydia Wanyama, Katerega Ashraf, Nayebare Babrah and Magoola Ashraf.

Futsal referees:

Nsubuga Brian Emmy and Sengendo Isaac.

Beach soccer referees:

Kintu Ivan Bayige, Ssenteza Muhammad, Kawagga Bazirio Kennedy and Munyendoh Joel Chote.
