As excitement builds for the upcoming ISF Football World Cup, Ugandan schools participating in the tournament have discovered their opponents following a draws event held on Tuesday in Dalian City, China. Scheduled from May 17th to May 27th, 2024, this year’s edition marks the 28th installment of the prestigious competition.
The draws, conducted by Justus Mugisha, President of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) and President of the Technical Commission for Football at ISF, were broadcast live on ISF TV. Mugisha oversaw the allocation of teams into various groups, setting the stage for thrilling matchups on the football pitch.

Reflecting on the draw event, Mugisha commended the host city and country for their exceptional facilities and hospitality. He expressed confidence in the preparedness of the Ugandan school teams, emphasizing their dedication and participation in various school tournaments as evidence of their readiness for the competition.
Last year’s ISF World Cup saw Uganda represented by two boys’ teams and one girls’ team, with St Noa Girls securing a Bronze Medal. As the countdown to this year’s tournament begins, Ugandan schools are poised to showcase their talent and determination on the international stage, aiming for success in their respective categories.
With China and France emerging as victors in the girls’ and boys’ categories in the previous edition, all eyes are on the participating teams to witness who will etch their names in ISF Football World Cup history this year.
