The Uganda Premier League returns with high-stakes matches on Thursday as Express FC takes on BUL at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru, while Kitara FC welcomes Lugazi to Royal Park Butema.
Express, struggling to regain form after a three-match winless streak, will face a daunting challenge against BUL, who remain unbeaten this season.
The Red Eagles have managed just one victory since their opening 1-0 win over UPDF, dropping points in losses to Police (2-1) and KCCA (2-1), as well as a draw against URA. With four points from four games, they sit 10th on the league table and are desperate for a turnaround.
BUL, currently second with eight points, aims to close the gap on league leaders Buhimba Saints, whom they defeated 3-0 in their last outing.
The club has not suffered a defeat since December 2024, maintaining a 21-match unbeaten streak that they will look to extend against Express.
Meanwhile, Kitara FC hopes to build on a 3-2 victory over Mbarara City when they host Lugazi.
The visitors are unbeaten in their last two games, holding both URA and KCCA to goalless draws, setting the stage for an intriguing clash at Royal Park Butema.
