Matchday three of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continues this Friday, October 17, 2025, with two thrilling fixtures on the card.
At Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara, Mbarara City FC will be hunting for their first home victory of the season when they take on BUL FC at 4:00 PM. The Ankole Lions are looking to bounce back from their opening-day defeat to UPDF FC, who edged them 1-0.
Their visitors, BUL FC, come into the tie on a high after a 1-0 win over Maroons in their opening fixture. A victory in Mbarara could see the Jinja-based side climb further up the table as they continue their strong start to the season.
Later in the evening, attention will turn to Nakivubo’s Hamz Stadium for the much-anticipated Nakivubo derby between URA FC and Express FC, kicking off at 8:00 PM live on Sanyuka Prime.
URA, who have drawn both of their opening games against BUL and NEC, will be hoping to turn their home form around and register their first win of the campaign. Express, on the other hand, will be eager to bounce back after a 2-1 loss to Police FC in their last outing.
The Red Eagles will draw confidence from their first match at Nakivubo, where they beat UPDF 1-0. Another win tonight could see them soar to second place on the log.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s fixture between Calvary FC and Vipers SC has been postponed, while NEC FC will face Police FC under the floodlights at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, at 8:00 PM.
