The Uganda Premier League (UPL) serves up an action-packed Match Day 9, with two crucial fixtures today.
Vipers SC visit URA FC at Nakivubo’s Hamz Stadium, while Kitara FC aim for their first home win against UPDF FC at Butema Grounds.
Vipers SC are looking to extend their unbeaten streak to eight games when they clash with URA FC under the Nakivubo floodlights.
The six-time league champions have been on a strong recovery run after losing their opener to NEC FC, currently sitting third on the table with 17 points.
URA, on the other hand, have endured a rocky start, holding 11th place with just 11 points. The Tax Collectors will be desperate to end their winless streak against Vipers, who have dominated their last five meetings with four wins.
At Butema, Kitara FC are eager to end their dismal home form. With no points secured at their new ground and sitting at the bottom of the table with four points, the Royals are under pressure.
Head coach Wasswa Bbosa, still searching for his first win in charge, will hope to inspire his team against the 7th-placed UPDF.
A victory for Kitara may not lift them out of the relegation zone but could provide a crucial morale boost.
Meanwhile, UPDF, with 12 points, will be eyeing a move into the top five with a win.
