The Uganda Premier League (UPL) enters match day three with two eagerly awaited fixtures on Friday, September 27, 2024.
In the early kickoff at 4 pm, Wakiso Giants will host Mbale Heroes at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium. Both teams are eager to maintain their momentum after recent wins.
Wakiso Giants secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Maroons, while Mbale Heroes stunned defending champions SC Villa with a 1-0 win, earning their first points of the season.
A key highlight will be former Wakiso Giants winger Pius Kaggwa facing his old club in this encounter.
Later in the day, under the floodlights at 7 pm, KCCA FC takes on Kitara FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Neither team won in their previous outings, with KCCA settling for a 1-1 draw against BUL, and Kitara suffering a 2-1 loss to NEC at their new home in Butema.
Last season, Kitara dominated the head-to-head against KCCA, winning both league encounters and remaining unbeaten in the FUFA Super 8.
Victory for either KCCA or Kitara could see them rise to second on the table, provided Wakiso Giants falter against Mbale Heroes.
