The Uganda Premier League continues this Thursday, October 17, 2024, with an exciting clash as Wakiso Giants host Vipers SC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso at 4:00 PM.
The encounter brings back familiar faces for both sides, with several players set to face their former teams.
Among the former Vipers players now at Wakiso Giants are Rahmat Ssenfuka, James Alitho, Tom Masiko, Alex Komakech, and David Bagoole.
On the opposite side, Kenneth Kimera and Grant Matsiko, who now play for Vipers, previously represented Wakiso Giants.
On the coaching front, Wakiso will be led by John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda, while Vipers’ situation remains uncertain as Serbian head coach Nikola Kavazovic’s position is still unclear.
Vipers, currently sitting on seven points, could move joint top of the table with a win, catching up to KCCA FC, who have 10 points.
Wakiso Giants, also tied on seven points, will be eager to bounce back from their recent 1-0 defeat to UPDF before the international break. Vipers head into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory over SC Villa.
