Uganda Tennis Association (UTA) has got partners on board ahead of the 5th Edition of the East African (Zone IV) Junior Teams’ Competition for boys and for girls of 12 years and under that will take place in Kampala – Uganda from the 11th to 17th October 2021.

On Thursday, the association unveiled Nivana Water a product of Crown Beverages Limited and Psalms Food Industries Limited manufactures of the Sumz Snacks as partners of the showpiece that serves off next week at Lugogo Tennis Complex.

“It’s great to have these partners on board,” UTA PRO Osmond Atwiine told media before saying that the event is a manifestation of the association’s prioritization of junior tennis.

“Our players who will be participating at the event are fruits of the engines of junior tennis in Uganda, those are the academies that have nurtured these players. We continue to applaud efforts of various academies which have continued to produce future starts for the country,” Atwiine added.

Denis Ingabirano, CEO Psalms Food Industries Limited lauded UTA for preparing for the tournament albeit the current Covid-19 situation that has been a damper to sports globally.

“I’m glad to see that you’re having activities going on despite the current Covid-19 situation,” Ingabirano said adding that; “we’re cautious about the community needs and needs of this generation. This partnership is for a long run. I’m calling upon other companies to come on board and support the game.”
