Saturday, 01-05-2021
-Onduparaka FC 0-1 SC Villa
-UPDF FC 1-3 Vipers SC

SC Villa struck late away Onduparaka FC to register a 1-0 victory in the first leg of their Uganda Cup round of 16 tie at the Green Light Stadium in Arua on Saturday.

Substitute Faizo Kazibwe was the hero with the only goal of the evening, netting with just three minutes to play.

The Jogoos carry the slender lead into the return leg which will be played at the Bombo Military Stadium Tuesday, May 04.

In Bombo, Vipers SC came from a goal down to take care of UPDF FC 3-1 on the same day.

The hosts took the half time lead through Brian Kayanja as early as the 11th minute.

Vipers rallied from behind to score three second half goals through UPDF defender Joseph Bright Vuni (own goal), Ibrahim Orit and Cesar Manzoki.

Vuni deflected Bobosi Byaruhanga’s teasing corner kick on the hour mark.

Moments later, Orit gave the visitors their first lead of the contest off Disan Galiwango’s cross.

Just before full-time, Abrahim Ndugwa assisted fellow substitute Manzoki for the visitors’ third of the day.

These two sides face off again on Monday, May 04 in the return leg at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
