Paul Willa signs for Vipers SC

Vipers SC have confirmed their second signing of the ongoing transfer window. The Venoms, in a club statement, confirmed that Paul Willa joins from Police FC on a three-year deal.

The 19-year old Right back skippered Police to 11th finish in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league last season and becomes the second signing for the three-time champions after Allan Kayiwa from Tooro United on similar tenure.

Willa, who was part of the Uganda Cranes CHAN team that partook in this year’s COSAFA Cup in South Africa recently, could not hide his excitement after joining last season league runners up.

Vipers players undergo tests before the preseason training last week

“I am extremely happy to be here. I will give all for the team because my objective has always been to win,” he said. Willa, who joins midfielder Rahmat Senfuka at Vipers whom he succeeded as Captain at Police, will battle for starting place in Michael Nam Ouma team with Burundian Karim Niyizigimana.

Vipers that started training last week are expected to unveil more signings ahead of the 2019/20 season. The team went through pre-season testing and performance system analysis.

“These tests will help to avoid injuries during the season and prepare them psychologically in both training and competitive matches,” explained Ouma.
