Uganda Premier League side Vipers Sports Club have announced that the contract of head Coach Beto Bianchi has been terminated with immediate effect.
“The club would like to thank Bianchi for his tireless efforts during his time at the club and wish him success in his future endeavours,” the club noted via an online missive.
Bianchi, 56 was unveiled as Vipers coach in January this year and was initially handed a two-year deal but his failure to deliver results has seen him being shown the exit.
Vipers haven’t won a single game nor scored a goal in their past seven outings in all competitions something that brought problems to the team’s tactician.
In their previous game, Vipers lost 0-1 to Tanzania’s Simba SC in the Group C match of the CAF Champions League played on Tuesday, March 7 in Dar es Salaam. The defeat leaves Vipers on bottom of the group, with just one point after four games and effectively ended the Venoms’ continental campaign.
In four games of the CAF Champions League, Vipers, who are playing the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time, have not scored a single goal but shipped as many as seven.
In summary, Bianchi has left Vipers without winning a single game or seeing his side score a goal in open play. The other three games were two outings in the Stanbic Uganda Cup and one Uganda Premier League match.
