VOLLEYBALL: UGANDA, KENYA, SOUTH SUDAN COACHES COMPLETE FIVB LEVEL I COACHING COURSE

Twenty one coaches have successfully completed International Volleyball Federation level I coaching course in Lugogo on Saturday 21st, March 2020.

The Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) president, Hadijah Namanda closed the course that had lasted for Five days.

While addressing the participants, UVF President urged them not to at sit on papers. “What we want is not the papers you have got but the work to develop our sport. You should try as much as possible to implement what you have learnt” Namanda told coaches.

The course was was conducted by Senior FIVB coaches Instructor and assisted by Robinson Tumwesigye as a course observer.

“Uganda is known for improving year by year in the game of Volleyball so when you go out there put all we have taught you in action to develop the game.” Said Almayehu Shoattek the instructor.

Active volleyball players like Flavia Nandaula who plays for KCB-Nkumba Volleyball Club, Samuel Arionga from KAVC, Sharon Pajije and Beatrice Gloria Arizio all from KCCA Volleyball Club.

The course attracted coaches from Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan

John Muhinja, Justin Kigwari, Samuel Mulata and Vernon Khayinga are the participants from Kenya who attended the course.

Alex manja Kenyi was the only participant from South Sudan.

Coaches like Alex Mugoda of KCCA Volleyball and Moses Opio a coach player at Nkumba Men also attended the coaching course.
