David Wabwire is the only debutant in Cricket Cranes squad for the second edition of East Africa T20 Cup scheduled for August 19th to 31st hosted by Rwanda Cricket Association.

Wabwire’s pace will be required in the absence of Juma Miyagi and Cosmas Kyewuta.

All rounder Jonathan Ssebanja has been recalled, Ronak Patel, Roger Mukasa, and Nsubuga Siraje who missed out on the last tour to Namibia make a return. Henry Ssenyondo and Simon Ssesazi make a return after missing most of the Namibia tour due to personal reasons. Frank Nsubuga and Robinson Obuya miss out on the team from the team that went to Namibia, Riazat Ali Shah also misses out due to injury.

The Cricket Cranes are the defending champions of the tournament after winning it last year in December in Kigali.

The three-nation event will feature Uganda, Tanzania, and hosts Rwanda with the teams competing in the T20 format. All three sides in the tournament will feature at the T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Namibia later in the year therefore this tournament should give them a chance to test their skills.

The Cricket Cranes will play at least 12 round-robin matches with the top side after the games are declared as the winner.

The Team: 1. Brian Masaba, 2. Kenneth Waiswa, 3. Simon Ssesazi, 4. Ronak Patel, 5. Roger Mukasa, 6. Cyrus Kakuru, 7. Pascal Murungi, 8. Henry Ssenyondo, 9. Jonathan Ssebanja, 10. David Wabwire, 11. Ronald Lutaaya, 12. Siraje Nsubuga, 13. Alpesh Ramjani, 14. Bilal Hassun
