Wakiso Giants Register Eighth UPL Draw Against KCCA

Wakiso Giants registered their eighth draw of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) 2020/21 season after they settled for a 1-1 draw against KCCA FC on Tuesday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Sports Stadium, Wakiso.

The result implies that in the nine league games they have played so far, Wakiso have picked up one win and drawn eight times.

Both Wakiso and KCCA struck late in the first half.

Substitute Samson Kigozi who was brought on for Brian Aheebwa scored the opener in the 40th minute after successfully shooting a bolter.

At the stroke of half time, Wakiso’s Kipson Atuheire was fouled inside the 18-yard box and Rahmat Ssenfuka converted from the spot to level matters.

Both sides shot blanks after the first half but there were ugly scenes later on as KCCA FC fans pelted bottles onto the pitch to show their discontent with the day’s officiating from Referee Ronald Madanda.

KCCA are now seventh on the table with 14 points while Wakiso are 10th with 11 points.

In their up coming games, Wakiso will visit Express FC while KCCA will host Kitara FC this Saturday.

UPL Tuesday Results:
Kyetume 2-2 Bright Stars
*Busoga 1-1 Villa
*MYDA 1-4 Express
*Vipers 1-0 BUL
*Wakiso 1-1 KCCA
