Wakiso Giants 2-1 Mbarara City

Tooro United 0-2 Kyetume

Busoga United 1-1 SC Villa

Vipers SC 1-0 Proline

Fahad Bayo scored the all important goal as Vipers SC returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over his former side Proline. The striker headed home Paul Willa’s teasing ball in the 8th minute of second half.

It was Venoms’ first win in three games after draws against Tooro United and SC Villa. The match was delayed close to 40 minutes as Proline’s Edrisa Lubega and Mahad Kakooza licenses were not available despite the duo previously featuring against Onduparaka and Express FC respectively. Proline were forced to make abrupt changes to their initial line-up –with James Begesa and Mato Rodgers coming in.

The striker, who was given his breakthrough by Proline before he moved to Zambia and then back to Uganda with Vipers, did not celebrate out of respect for his former side. With 11 points, Edward Golola’s charges are now 4th on the 16-team table while Proline remains at the foot with no point.

Bayo also took his tally to four in five games as the current StarTimes Uganda premier league top scorer. The Venoms’ next game will be away to Police in Wakiso while Matia Lule’s side hosts Busoga United at Lugogo.
