Fifty one (51) intermediaries undertook FUFA organized a two-day football intermediaries’ workshop last week at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga with an intention of growing and promoting the intermediary business as well as equipping intermediaries with the latest FIFA and FUFA transfer regulations.

The participants sat an exam at the end of the workshop to assess their comprehension of the attained the knowledge passed to them by various instructors. The instructors on the day included FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo, FUFA first Vice President Justus Mugisha, Football Development Director Ali Mwebe, Competitions Manager Hajat Aisha Nalule, Communications director Ahmed Hussein among others.

According to reliable sources, at the time of Exams, renown football agent Gibby Kalule was no where to be seen while his close colleague Dan Ntare abandoned the question paper and varnished like a ‘petty thief’ with no one tracing his location there after.

The two are renowned critics of the current FUFA administration. Magogo believes that educating every football stakeholder is one of the ways to professionalize the game in Uganda.

“Some of you think players belong to you –which is very wrong. You only represent these players in negotiations but do not own them,” he advised. FUFA 1st Vice president Justus Mugisha sees a bright future for Ugandan football with such training in place.
