Nyamityobora FC register their first victory of the 2020/21 FUFA Big League season as they convincingly beat promotion hopefuls Tooro United 4-0 at the Kakyeka Stadium on Wednesday.

Clinton Komugisha helped himself to a brace on the day will Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Gerard Kimuli scored the other goals for the Abanyakare.

The hosts started brightly and took a 23 minute deserved lead through captain Komugisha.

It was 2-0 three minutes later as Ahimbisibwe opened his season’s account.

The first half onslaught continued as Komugisha completed his brace and Kimuli struck a fourth on 43 minutes to ensure Nyamityobra heads into the break with a four goal caution.

It was more of damage limitation for Tooro United in the second half as they did not go out in attempt to come back into the game rather, sitting deep to see it out.

This was a first loss to Tooro who had beaten Water FC and Proline FC on match-day one and two respectively.

The result means Nyamityobora climb to five points on the log following draws away to Ndejje University and Luwero United in their opening two games.

The other Rwenzori group game played on Wednesday saw ten-man Luwero United lose 3-1 away to Water FC.

Meanwhile, the other Rwenzori group match witnessed Water edge a 10 man Luwero United 3-1 at Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso.

In Elgon group, Mbale Heroes remained win-less in three following a goal-less draw at home to Calvary FC at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.

Mbale came into the game on the back of a draw to Paidha Black Angels and a loss to Gaddafi FC in their first two games.

The Big League match-day three continues on Thursday, April 1 with five games.
