Uganda Premier League side Lugazi FC has secured the future of one of its brightest young talents, Birungi Alvin Twiine, after the winger signed a five-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2030.

Birungi, who joined Lugazi in September 2023 as a 17-year-old, has quickly established himself as a key part of the team. Known for his flair and creativity, he has made nine appearances this season, contributing two assists and causing havoc in opposition defenses with his dynamic style of play.

The contract renewal comes as a significant boost for Lugazi FC, whose management is delighted with the player’s progress. Birungi’s performances have shown glimpses of a player with immense potential, and the club is banking on him to continue developing as they push toward their long-term goals.

Despite being in the early stages of his career, Birungi has already become a fan favorite. His ability to drive the team forward and create opportunities has made him one to watch. Club insiders believe his best is yet to come.

Lugazi FC, previously known as Kampala University FC, has a storied journey since its inception in 2010. After rebranding in 2020, the team quickly rose to prominence, earning promotion to the FUFA Big League within a year. Their sights are now firmly set on reaching the Uganda Premier League and competing on the continental stage.

The club has also prioritized nurturing young talent, a mission aligned with Birungi’s development. This long-term commitment signals their confidence in him as a cornerstone of their future success.

As the Leaders continue their campaign, fans will be eagerly watching Birungi’s growth and the impact he will make in the years to come.
