The first phase of the Betting League promotion by gaming and lottery company Champion Bet came to a close on Saturday at the company’s Luzira-based shop.
The two-week league that ran between 1st March to 14th March 2021 was capped on Saturday with successful participants winning goodies from Champion Bet.
Five participants won prizes in the first round. The biggest item to be won was a brand new Bajaj Boxer Motorcycle that was claimed by Wilson Ssendege, a mechanic by profession.
“I’m very excited to win this motorcycle. I have been a very loyal customer of Champion Bet and I’m happy to be rewarded at last,” Ssendege said after being announced winner.
The other items won were smart phones and smart watches. Michael Adwaaka and Daniel Kabogo won smart phones while Steven Kulabako and Onamong from Kumi claimed the smart watches.
The winners received their prizes from Champion Bet Ambassador and media personality Douglas Lwanga who graced the event.
According to Denis Indani, the Champion Bet Head of Digital Marketing, the promotion specifically involved customers who had online accounts.
“This was a campaign that we ran to encourage more people to get online accounts but also to reward our loyal clients. In a few days time we shall be launching another campaign,” Indani who was flanked by the company’s operations manager Arnold Deo Mafabi said.
The customers had different stakes on various tickets with the respective odds on each of the winning ticket multiplied by 100 to get seeding points.
The punter with the highest number of points claimed the motorbike while other podium finishers and immediate top performers also received prizes.
The second phase of the promotion will kick off on 1st April 2021.
