Cranes conduct final training session ahead of Malawi clash

The Uganda Cranes conducted their last training session on Sunday, March 28 at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Abdallah Mubiru’s side is slated to take on Malawi at the same venue on Monday in the AFCON Qualifiers.

This will be the final game for both sides as they eye a spot at next year’s finals in Cameroon.

The Cranes who departed the country on Sunday morning landed in Malawi in the afternoon and held their final training ahead of the game.

All 23 players who travelled with the team took part in the session and are understood to be in good physical shape so as to face the Malawi Flames.

Ugand needs just a point to seal a spot the the finals for a third time running while Malawi require victory.

With Burkina Faso already qualified, Uganda are in second spot with 8 points, one ahead of Malawi.

In their last games, Uganda drew 0-0 with Burkina Faso at Kitende while Malawi overcame South Sudan 1-0 in Juba.
