Rivary will be renewed as Weatherhead and Wananchi face off this Saturday in the biggest weekend fixture of the Uganda Baati National Hockey League at the National Hockey Stadium, Lugogo. The sides played to a 1-1 draw in first round.

Wananchi are both men and women champions but previous champions Weatherhead are eager to regain lost glory.

Weatherhead-Wananchi men’s fixture is ever an intense affair and is the most attended tie by the fans who brave scorching sunshine at times to have a glimpse of the unpredictable mouth-watering encounter.

Weatherhead’s Coach-player Vincent Arnold Kasasa said that his side is coming for victory to widen the gap between the two sides. “We have to win the game and move to five points clear. We shall have some changes in strategy and I hope we shall win,” he told the Red Pepper. Unbeaten Wetherhead enjoys the summit (men) with 19 points, two ahead of second placed Wananchi.

Earlier on Saturday, women sides Wananchi and DCU will face off before Simba and Rockets (men) battle in the mid-table clash.

On Sunday, debutants Makerere (men) will take on Kampala HC before Rhino (women) play Kampala
