Kenyan Premier League giants Tusker FC have confirmed the signing of Ugandan midfielder Dennis Iguma on a one-year deal from Kampala-based Police FC.
Iguma, 31, is a seasoned player with vast experience in the Uganda Premier League and the national team, the Cranes. Known for his tenacity and versatility, he excels at breaking up opposition attacks and controlling the tempo in midfield. His arrival is expected to add stability and leadership to Tusker’s squad.
Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere expressed his delight at securing Iguma’s services, stating:
“He’s a player we’re familiar with, having trained with him during our time in Uganda. With his wealth of experience, he will provide much-needed depth to our young squad. His leadership qualities are exceptional, and we’re confident he will be a great asset to the team.”
Club CEO Sam Nzau also welcomed the move, emphasizing Iguma’s potential impact:
“We are thrilled to have a player of Dennis Iguma’s caliber with us. Since his arrival, he has shown great positivity, and we are certain he will strengthen our squad as we pursue our goals this season. His experience and leadership, especially in the second half of the campaign, will be invaluable.”
With 63 caps for the Uganda Cranes, Iguma brings international experience to the Kenyan side. He has already begun training with the squad and is expected to be available for selection once final registration processes are completed.
