Kayiwa excited to join Vipers SC

Vipers SC on Tuesday confirmed Allan Kayiwa from Tooro United as their first signing ahead of 2019/2020 season preparations. The forward was officially unveiled by Vipers Head coach Michael Ouma after joining as free agent on a two-year deal.

Kayiwa, who completed last season Premier league with 10 goals including one brace, is expected to add options upfront to the Venoms that looked blunt last season as they finished runners up behind KCCA FC.

“I have made the best choice to join this great club. It’s my new home and I am so excited to be here. I am ready for the new challenge as well,” noted the 22-year old, who came to the scene in 2015 from Soana Young, the Tooro United academy (formerly Soana FC) before graduating to the senior team.

Kayiwa’s consistence at the Fort portal-based side earned him a place at the Uganda Cranes team that took part in this year’s Cosafa championship.

Meanwhile defender Mike Kawoya has agreed a one-year contract extension with Tooro United, days after Head coach Wasswa Bbosa also confirmed his stay at the club with contract extension.

Kawoya, who was solid for Tooro United last season, joined the club from Kirinya Jinja SS in the 2017/18 season having earlier plied his trade at Water and BUL FC.

In the same way, Tooro United has signed striker Charles Musiige from relegated Nyamityobora on a year deal.

Forward Gerald Lule and defender Denis Mugerwa have also been signed on two-year deals from lower division side Water FC.
