Preliminary stage, first leg

Saturday

African Stars vs KCCA, Windhoek

After their 2-0 away win over Wakiso Giants in the 2019 Pilsner Super 8 tournament on Tuesday, KCCA FC departed to Namibia on Wednesday morning for the CAF Champions league Preliminary stage, first leg fixture against African Stars this Saturday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, Windhoek –an artificial turf.

A contingent of 34 led by FUFA Head of marketing Rogers Byamukama as the leader of delegation has 18 players and 13 officials.

It also has two club Board representatives in Aggrey Ashaba (Club Chairman) and Okello Opio George (Board member).

The team departed for Namibia aboard Rwanda air through Kigali, Johannesburg and finally Windhoek Namibia.

Among the named team, three players will be making their Continental debut; Kasozi Nicholas, teenage Kato Samuel and Sadat Anaku who were promoted from the club’s junior side this season.

The reigning StarTimes Uganda premier league Champions seek a positive result in the 1st leg in order to have an upper in the 2nd leg due Friday, August 23 at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

The squad

Goal keepers: Lukwago Charles (Cpt) and Jamil Malyamungu.

Defenders: Peter Magambo, Ssenjobe Eric, Kato Samuel, Fillbert Obenchan, Kizza Mustafa, Achai Herbert, Musana Hassan.

Midfielders: Bukenya Lawrence, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Sadam Juma, Gift Ali Abubakar, Kasozi Nicholas.

Forwards: Sadat Anaku, Okello Allan, Mike Mutyaba and Kaddu Patrick.
