Kampala International University (KIU) ended Kyambogo University’s two-year unbeaten run in the Pepsi University Football League with a stunning 2-0 home victory on Tuesday at Nsambya. The reigning champions won the title unbeaten last year, and were yet to lose in this season until the Tuesday unexpected shock. Yunus Muftau and Fred Ayebare scored for KIU in the 32ndand 80th minute respectively to enable Kyambogo leapfrog Kyambogo at the top of group C. KIU now has 7 points at the top from 5 games, one above Kyambogo who were docked 2 points and goals resulting from last season indiscipline cases. Busitema and Kumi University are third and fourth respectively with joint 4 points but the former having a better goal difference. Action resumes this Wednesday with YMCA hosting Bugema at Buwambo in a group a fixture.
