The Uganda Golf Club (UGC) is set to host the UGC Lady Captain’s Prize on March 15, 2025, at its Kitante course. The event, marking the end of the Lady Captain’s term, will also serve as a transition point for the club’s leadership.
During the club’s recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 27, outgoing Lady Captain Wendy Angudeyo handed over leadership to a new executive team led by Gloria Mbaguta. Mbaguta will be joined by Sarah Nduhukire (Vice Lady Captain), Catherine Wabomba (Secretary), and Suzan Tashobya (Treasurer).
Reflecting on her tenure, Angudeyo expressed gratitude for her time in office. “I am honored to have served as UGC Lady Captain for two years. It has been tough, but I enjoyed every moment of it. I am grateful to the outgoing team for all the work they put in to make my tenure a success,” she said.
The UGC Lady Captain’s Prize is expected to attract over 200 golfers across various categories.
The tournament has received backing from key partners, including MTN Uganda, Equity Bank, Pepsi, Vivo Energy, Case Medical Services, Pinnacle Security, Nkwanzi, FlyDubai, AMREF Flying Doctors, D&J Audio, XHub, WhiteCap Crisp, and NBS Sport.
