The Uganda Premier League (UPL) midweek matchups see an exciting test for newcomers Lugazi FC, who travel to face Wakiso Giants at Wakisha Grounds.
Lugazi, fresh from two consecutive wins and a draw, are aiming to extend their unbeaten run. Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants will be fighting to end their own four-match winless streak.
Both teams are level on eight points, with Lugazi narrowly holding the 11th spot, while the Purple Sharks, Wakiso Giants, sit just below in 12th.
Simultaneously, Mbarara City will go head-to-head with UPDF at Bombo Military Grounds.
Both teams enter this clash after heavy defeats in the previous round, with UPDF suffering a crushing 5-0 loss against defending champions SC Villa, and Mbarara City falling 3-1 to Vipers SC, which snapped their impressive 16-match unbeaten streak at home in Kakyeeka.
As the league progresses, Lugazi’s consistent performances position them as a team to watch.
The fixtures are part of match day eight, with other games to follow through the week.
On Friday, Lugazi will face Bright Stars, while Express hosts SC Villa under the floodlights at Nakivubo.
