Wednesday Results
Express 1-1 KCCA
Myda 2-3 URA
Wakiso 2-2 Villa

Charles Lwanga scored in the 86th minute to cancel the Express FC lead as KCCA FC fought for a point in the Wednesday fixture of the Uganda Premier League 2020/21 season played at the Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

Eric Kambale capitalized on Godfrey Lwesibawa’s free kick to give the home side a lead at the stroke of half time as KCCA looked destined to be condemned to a fourth straight league loss.

However, it was Charles Lwanga who was starting for the first time who rose to the occasion to head in Hassan Musana’s corner kick to salvage a point for the Kasasiro Boys.

In the 92nd minute, Abel Eturude almost reinstated Express’ lead but KCCA custodian Filbert Obenchan was equal to the task.

Express missed lots of crucial chances that would have made them put the game out of sight earlier on. Kambale, Lwesibawa, George Ssenkaaba and Frank Kalanda missed major chances for the Red Eagles.

KCCA too had some of the chances they would have buried. Bright Anukani, Samson Kigozi came close with Brian Aheebwa even hitting the wood work.

The stalemate ensures that Express unbeaten run still rages on while KCCA’s losing streak ends in an away draw.

Express are now fourth on the table with 13 points while KCCA are eighth with 10 points after seven games.
