Paidha Black Angels 1-0 Maroons
Bar Okoro Stadium, Zombo
Sunday, 16-05-2021

Paidha Black Angels FC subjected Maroons to yet another loss in the FUFA Big League on Sunday.

The Black who were yet to win a contest this campaign, defeated Maroons FC 1-0 at the Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo.

Aruwa Patrick scored the only goal of the game, netting in the 27th minute off a header that was set up by Walter Omara’s cross.

The game came after sustained pressure that had seen Pithua Floribert shot wide from just-inside the area.

Maroons who have now lost all of their last four Big League games were lacklustre throughout the afternoon with Fred Amaku’s curling effort that kissed the upright, the closest they came to scoring

The win takes Paidha, who remain bottom of the Elgon group, to four points from eight games while Maroons (2nd from bottom) stay on seven points for the season.

Paidha Black Angels returns to action on Thursday against Mbale Heroes at the Mbale Municipal ground while Maroons welcome Gaddafi FC at the Luzira prisons ground on the same day.
