Pre CHAN Mini Tournament: Uganda Beats Niger In Final Game

Uganda beat Niger 3-0 in their final match of the Pre CHAN Mini Tournament on Thursday at Annex 1-Omnisports- in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Uganda had a flying start to the game when Milton Kariisa (2) and Siadi Kyeyune scored three goals within 14 minutes into the first half.

Kariisa and Kyeyune’s strikes were the only difference in both the first and second half as Uganda finished the tournament on a high.

Uganda wind their camp in Yaounde with two wins (Zambia and Niger) and a draw against hosts Cameroon.

Ahead of the event proper (CHAN), Cranes will this Friday leave to Douala where they will be based for the group stage matches of the tournament.

Uganda Cranes will kick-off the tournament against Rwanda on January 18 before facing Togo and defending Champions Morocco.

Uganda Cranes  Starting XI– Joel Mutakubwa, Paul Willa, Aziz Kayondo, Paul Mbowa, Mujuzi Mustafa, Shafic Kagimu, Karim Watambala, Saidi Kyeyune, Viane Ssekajugo, Joachim Ojera, Milton Karisa.

Substitutes – Thomas Ikara, Hassan Muhamood, Eric Ssenjobe, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Tonny Mawejje, Ben Ocen, Ibrahim Orit
