2019 Victoria Cup
Saturday
Zimbabwe vs Uganda
Uganda Rugby Cranes will not only be seeking their third win of the 2019 Victoria Cup, but also revenge against Zimbabwe Sables when the two sides clash in the return leg this Saturday in Harare.
Zimbabwe Sables beat Rugby Cranes 26-31 late last month during the first leg at Legends rugby grounds in Kampala after the hosts endured a sloppy start to the match to let in three tries in the opening 15 minutes, including one in the opening minute of the game.
Rugby Cranes have won two of their previous four Victoria Cup games and can’t afford another sloppy start against Zimbabwe Sable this weekend.

“We look forward to victory against Zimbabwe although it is a tough task,” noted Cranes skipper Asuman Mugerwa, who believes that they storm Harare with confidence after their 38-22 win against Zambia about a week ago in Kampala.
The Cranes that were officially seen off on Wednesday have lost at Sables in their last two fixtures with their last victory coming in 2017 when they emerged 38-12 winners in the Rugby Africa Gold Cup.
In the 2018 Gold Cup, Sables beat Cranes 18-38 at Kyadondo grounds in the final match of the Rugby Africa.
Zimbabwe are the only unbeaten side in the Victoria Cup and their recent win against Kenya put them as the favorites to claim the Victoria Cup.
