Sunday, 18th July
Rugby Africa Cup – Group C
Matches @Kyadondo Rugby Club
1 PM – Zimbabwe vs Uganda (Women)
3 PM – Uganda vs Algeria

In their first meeting that happened on Wednesday this week, Uganda Lady Rugby Cranes beat Zimbabwe Lady Sables 41-00 in the opening match of the Rugby Africa Cup – Women Group C held behind closed doors at Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala.

The two sides will again face off this Sunday, 18th July in another lunch time fixture at the same venue.

As Uganda ran in seven tries and three conversions against Zimbabwe last time out, veteran and former skipper, Winnie Atyang  took home the woman of the match award after a worthy display that saw her carry the ball with purpose and conviction on top of good defense.

Atyang is hoping to put up another stellar display to earn her side a double against the visitors at an empty Kyadondo.

“My experience in the first game was amazing, like all I had in my mind was to carry the ball. You will see most of it again on Sunday,” Atyang said.

On the same day, Uganda men’s XVs side, Rugby Cranes will be in action at 3 p.m against Algeria in the men’s Group C clash at the same turf.

The games will be live on UBC TV, Uganda Rugby Union’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
